Guy Moreton

Guy is a sales and marketing specialist who helped pioneer the marketing of cut flowers and plants to multiple retailers in the UK in the 1980’s.

A graduate of Nottingham University’s School of Agriculture, Guy has held Commercial Director and Managing Director roles in some of the country’s largest produce and horticultural businesses before setting up MorePeople in 2000.

MorePeople is a specialist Recruitment business serving the Food Manufacturing, Fresh Produce, Agriculture, Horticulture and Home and Garden sectors covering a huge range of functions and permanent full-time roles and salaries from circa £25k pa right up to main board/C Suite level.

The business has grown from two people in 2000 to over 40 in 2026 and Guy’s role has changed in that time from being very actively involved in recruiting management level candidates at all levels and functions to now focussing on assisting MorePeople’s Main Board Recruitment team with the appointment of C Suite/Main Board directors including Non-Executive Directors as well as supporting MorePeople’s CEO and MD, who look after the day to day running of the company.

He is a Freeman of The City of London and a Liveryman of both the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers and The Worshipful Company of Gardeners.

He is a director and Trustee of TIAH (The Institute of Agriculture & Horticulture), a Director of The Fresh Produce Consortium (The FPC is THE UK fresh produce sectors trade association), a trustee and board member of Camden Garden Centre and the GC Charitable Trust and a board member and Trustee of Perennial, The Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society and the main horticultural charity in the UK and spends (too much) time following Peterborough United !!!
