Chris Hutchinson

FPC DIRECTOR / ARTHUR HUTCHINSON MANAGING DIRECTOR

MD of Arthur Hutchinson and Chairman of New Spitalfields Wholesale Market Tenants Association Chris has been a member of the Spitalfields Market Tenants Association for over 20 years and has been its Chair for the past 10 years.

This is a voluntary role just as the non-executive directorship of the FPC Council on which Chris represents the wholesale market sector.

His company, Arthur Hutchinson Ltd, a business started by his grandfather in Spitalfields Market in 1936, and it has grown to become a wholesale company dealing in fruit, vegetables and salad, both UK grown and imported via Europe. Chris joined in 1977 after a year's work experience in the farming industry and took over running the business in 1993 when his father retired.

Chris has been involved with the Fruiterers livery for many years, serving as an honorary assistant recently and is also involved with the Walbrook Ward and the Guild of Freemen, both organisations are based within the City of London.

Chris represents the wholesale market sector on the FPC board.
