15 May 2025

On 14th May, FPC represented the fresh produce industry during a ministerial roundtable to discuss the implications of any potential EU/UK SPS Agreement ahead of the Summit being held on 19th May.

During the session, a range of trade associations voiced the potential impacts of any agreement - both positive and negative. On behalf of FPC members, Kelly raised awareness of potential impacts with legislative alignment for precision breeding, plant health controls for rest of world inspection levels, citrus controls, listeria legislation, seed potato trade, High Risk Foods of Non-Animal Origin and MRL's.
