NCTS / GVMS Maintenance Downtime 10 March 26

NCTS Maintenance

HMRC will be carrying out planned maintenance on the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) on Tuesday 10 March 2026, 8pm to 10pm:

• NCTS XI – 8pm to 9pm

• NCTS GB – 9pm to 10pm

NCTS GB and NCTS XI data submitted during the period above will be held and processed once the maintenance activity has concluded and the service is available again.

GVMS Maintenance

HMRC’s Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS) system maintenance is scheduled to take place between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday 10 March 2026.

During this period GVMS will be unavailable.

Please ensure Goods Movement References (GMRs) are created in advance and any Movement Reference Numbers (MRNs) have been added / validated in advance of 10pm on Tuesday 10 March.

Goods movement references (GMRs) remain mandatory for freight movements using GVMS. Hauliers without a valid goods movement reference (GMR) will be turned away.
