There is a current collaboration between University of Lincoln, University of Aberdeen, Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Strathclyde that forms a UKRI Artificial Intelligence Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) on Sustainable Understandable agri-food Systems Transformed by Artificial Intelligence (SUSTAIN)

The centre undertakes research into challenges faced by industry and working towards sustainable agri-food systems, applying AI technology.

SUSTAIN is offering businesses the opportunity to “own” 4 year PhD studentships for a £40k industry contribution over 4 years. The overall studentship cost is £120K and UKRI pay £80K.
