Fairmiles is currently consulting with key stakeholders on the draft Fairmiles Just Transition Principles for fresh produce supply chains and is seeking views from across the sector.
The consultation is aimed at individuals and organisations involved in setting, implementing, researching, or influencing sustainability standards, requirements, or policies. Insights from this broad range of perspectives are considered an important part of the process.
The draft principles have been developed through collaboration between businesses, researchers, and development organisations involved in the Fairmiles initiative. Their purpose is to help guide sustainability decision‑making in a way that balances environmental ambition with livelihoods, trade, and development considerations in producing countries.
As part of the consultation, Fairmiles is inviting stakeholders to review the draft principles and complete a short survey to provide feedback.
The draft principles and consultation survey are available here:
https://fairmiles.org/principl...
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete, and all feedback will help inform the final version of the principles.
Fairmiles will also be hosting a short webinar to introduce the principles and outline the consultation process, with an opportunity to ask questions.
