Exporting the USA - on-line guidance

To support businesses wishing to export products to the US, there are a range of on-line support tools available;

• DBT has published online resources, available on business.gov.uk, to explain the changes to exporters in plain language.
• Businesses can also use DBT’s online ‘Check how to export goods’ tool to ascertain the tariffs for their goods following the US de minimis threshold removal.
• The Export Academy has hosted explainer sessions on the de minimis changes via the “Gateway USA” series. Future sessions related to the US can be found here.
• More generally, there is already a wide support offer for SME exporters - accessible in one place through the Business Growth Service and business.gov.uk. The Export Support Service can also be contacted with specific questions regarding exporting to the US.
