The cross-party group of MPs will next week question the Defra Secretary of State, the Rt Hon Steve Reed, in a wide-ranging evidence session which will examine the work of the Department, topical issues, and future priorities.

The Committee is likely to pose questions to the Secretary of State on the UK-EU summit, which takes place the day before this hearing.

Steve Reed will also face questions on the water sector, and the situation at Thames Water.

In their session on Tuesday, MPs will also likely probe the areas of trade, farming and farm profitability, precision breeding, climate adaptation, animal welfare, and the circular economy.
