CDS Webinars – Import declarations end on CHIEF from 30/9/22

HM Revenue & Customs announced that the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) will replace the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system from 31st March 2023.  Services on CHIEF will be withdrawn in two stages:

•After 30 September 2022 the ability to make import declarations on CHIEF will end and you must move all your import declarations to the Customs Declaration Service.

•After 31 March 2023 the ability to make export declarations on CHIEF and the National Export System (NES) will end and you must move all your export declarations to the Customs Declaration Service.

To assist with your move to CDS, we are hosting several webinars with support from our subject experts; focussed on key topics and frequently asked questions.

These webinars will be split into four sessions: Getting Access to the Customs Declaration Service, Trader Dress Rehearsal (TDR), Finance and Tariff. You can register an interest through the relevant Eventbrite link.

Please note there will be no opportunity to ask questions within these sessions.
