Primary Authority Partnership - Food Safety and Hygiene Advice for FPC Members

Food safety and hygiene advice for FPC members

FPC members have the opportunity to access advice and information on food safety and hygiene regulation to support their businesses. A Primary Authority Partnership established between the Fresh Produce Consortium and South Holland District Council allows impartial regulatory and food safety guidance.

A Primary Authority Partnership enables one local authority to act as the single point of advice and interpretation of certain legislation for a single company or members of a trade association.

The South Holland District Council team can provide advice directly, as well as contacting other local authorities with whom our members are liaising, in order to provide a consistent and coordinated approach to the interpretation of relevant food safety and hygiene legislation throughout England.

More information about the partnership and how it operates is available to FPC members in a Q&A guide {Primary Authority Partnership QA Review July 2022}. Any FPC member wishing to use this service must in the first instance contact FPC.
