The Food Standards Agency has published the 4th review of assimilated Regulation 2019/1793 on High Risk Food and Feed of Non‑Animal Origin (HRFNAO). The updated controls, effective from 1 January 2026, include changes to Annex I and II covering commodities with reduced, increased, or newly introduced border checks.
Alongside this update, we are also sharing a letter outlining the implications for industry and next steps. Together, these documents provide essential guidance for traders and stakeholders to prepare for the new requirements.
