A publication has been released by by the WHO / FAO pertaining to the Prevention and Control of microbiological hazards in fresh fruit and vegetables.

The expert committee addressed four subdivided commodity groups: 1) leafy vegetables and herbs, 2) berries and tropical fruits, 3) melons and tree fruits, and 4) seeded and root vegetables.

The document focuses on the intervention and control of these groups and may be a useful read for those responsible for food safety within their organisation and supply chains.
