Migration Advisory Committee Seasonal Worker Visa Review

The Migration Advisory Committee conducted an in depth research project into the Seasonal Worker Visa and the results have now been published.

The main recommendations are structured around 5 broad ‘umbrella’ themes, namely:

1. Provide certainty around the future of the scheme

2. Allow for a more flexible visa

3. Fairer work and pay for workers

4. Tighten, communicate and enforce employee rights

5. Give consideration to the Employer Pays Principle
