HSE publishes report on the monitoring and control of PPPs in the UK in 2025

The report describes the official controls carried out in 2025 by HSE, and by other enforcing authorities.

In line with their obligations under Article 68 of assimilated Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 concerning the placing of PPPs on the market, HSE has published its 2025 report on the outcomes of monitoring activities and official controls.

Official controls are undertaken to assess compliance with the legal requirements governing the placing on the market and use of PPPs.

Stakeholders should note that pesticides is in scope of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) agreement currently being negotiated between the UK and the EU. Once negotiations on the SPS Agreement have concluded, HSE will communicate further on any implications the agreement has for the sector.
