FPC SEEKS OUTSTANDING WHOLESALE SUPPLIERS TO UK

13 Jul 2022

It’s the final days until entries close this Thursday 14th July. There are 16 categories in total to enter including two Wholesale Supplier Of The Year awards where the world’s finest suppliers of cut flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables to the UK wholesale market could win a coveted FPC Fresh Award.

The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) – the UK’s fresh produce trade association – is looking for two of the best international suppliers to the UK wholesale market for the 2022 edition of its FPC Fresh Awards, which takes place in London on 16 September.

Each year FPC recognises a Wholesale Floral/Plant Supplier Of The Year and a Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Supplier Of The Year.

The Wholesale Floral/Plant Supplier Of The Year award is a prestigious accolade that recognises hard-working, outstanding horticultural businesses who demonstrate excellence in areas such as: innovation, product quality, supply chain management and commitment to sustainability efforts.

Nigel Jenney, CEO of FPC, comments: “By nominating yourself or an exceptional exporter, agent, distributor or wholesaler of flowers and plants to the UK market, you are championing the year-round heroes of the horticultural industry. Make sure you enter to be in with a chance of winning to truly stand out from the crowd.”

Floral/plant suppliers can nominate themselves or a peer here.

The Wholesale Fruit & Veg Supplier Of The Year award is equally sought-after, and celebrates the exporters, agents, distributors, and wholesalers of fruits and vegetables to the UK market who have continued to deliver their services to the highest standards throughout the toughest of times. The award is sponsored kindly by Spitalfields Market.

Jenney explains: “The ability to show flexibility and forward-thinking processes deserves industry recognition and the Wholesale Fruit & Veg Supplier Of The Year award has been developed to do just that. The winner must have gone above and beyond to deliver their time-critical produce to UK wholesalers on time, even in the most challenging of circumstances.”
