Exporting from GB to EU? Make sure consignees are validated on Traces NT

If you export goods from GB to the EU member states (except for the island of Ireland), there is now a requirement for consignees to be validated on TRACES NT when creating a phytosanitary certificate for export before your goods are exported

Previously this was only necessary if the consignee was also acting as the person responsible for the consignment (or 3rd party).

We request that traders ensure their consignees and 3rd parties are validated in the TRACES NT system to avoid any delays with their shipments. Consignees can only be validated by the importing country's competent authority, so needs to be done in advance of any exports.
