Our extensive membership encompasses all aspects of both domestic and global supply chains
Widely recognised as the voice of the UK industry FPC plays a unique and crucial role in creating opportunities and supporting the growth of its members’ businesses. Our extensive membership encompasses all aspects of both domestic and global supply chains of the fruit, vegetable and the flower industry.
Our Sustainability and Technical Meetings run on a Quarterly basis throughout the year. There are regular contributions from regulatory bodies such as the Chemicals Regulation Directorate, so delegates keep up to date with regulatory developments and food safety issues.
In the Technical Meetings we discuss a wide range of technical issues such as food safety, regulation, import / export, plant health and other key issues affecting the fresh produce and cut flower sectors.
The Sustainability Meetings cover topics such as reaching Net Zero, Climate Impact, Eco-labelling, Ethical Trading and Water Resilience.
Regular updates on the outcomes of issues are sent to members via e-marketing and posted in the members’ area of the FPC website.
They include the latest on Brexit, pesticide and plant health regulation and enforcement, customs clearance, tariffs, quotas and schedules, RASFF notifications, UK and EU plant health interceptions, food safety, sustainability, waste, workforce and ethical issues.
FPC help businesses anticipate and respond to changing market conditions, regulatory requirements, and industry developments, enabling them to make informed decisions and maintain competitive advantage in the fresh produce sector.
