The Modern Slavery Intelligence Network, are officially launching with an MSIN conference hosted at G’s Fresh, Ely on 15th of June 2022.
Professionals from the private, public and third sectors came together in January 2020 and identified an approach that could strengthen the industry's fight against modern slavery. This led to the creation of the pilot Modern Slavery Intelligence Network (MSIN).
Since then, the UK has grappled with the impact of War, Covid, and Brexit, all of which have changed the Modern Slavery landscape; intensifying labour shortages and increasing the risk of worker exploitation.
The following confirmed speakers for the day will discuss modern slavery and labour exploitation in the food and agricultural sector.
Professor Dame Sara Thornton DBE QPM, Professor of Practice in Modern Slavery Policy, The Rights Lab, University of Nottingham and former Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner
