Importing HRFNAO via the EU to GB: the new CHED Part 1 notification
Who is this session for?
This 45 minute online information session (hosted on Microsoft Teams) is aimed at those that import High Risk Food and Feed of Non-Animal Origin (HRFNAO) subject to official SPS controls via EU* countries into Great Britain and use IPAFFS (Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System) to notify GB authorities.
There is currently no HRFNAO of EU origin listed so this requirement refers to where HRFNAO from outside the EU has been placed on the EU market and not been subject to any further processing.
What's in this session?
Join this online session to find out about the Common Health Entry Document that will be introduced for importing HRFNAO via EU to GB, from 31 January 2024.
As someone who imports HRFNAO via Great Britain from EU countries, you’ll already be making import notifications on IPAFFS – this will stay the same. This session will help you to understand the changes to the questions you will see as you make the new CHED-D Part 1 notification from 31 January 2024.
The introduction of the Common Health Entry Document import notification supports the new risk-based approach to official SPS controls set out in the UK Government's border Target Operating Model.
Importing High Risk Food and Feed not of Animal Origin from non-EU countries to GB
Those that import HRFNAO via non-EU countries to GB are also welcome to attend.
*’EU’ includes EEA and EFTA countries.
