HMRC have offered FPC members an opportunity to hear about the migration process and be able to ask questions relating to the specific requirements.
The Customs Declaration Service (CDS) will replace the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system from 31 March 2023.
The CHIEF System is closing in two phases:
Phase 1: the ability to make import declarations will end on 30th Sept 2022
Phase 2: the ability to make export declarations will end on 31st March 2023
