Back in August we reported on the new EU plant health regulations to prevent the introduction and spread of Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV). This introduced control in host plants – tomato and non-resistant varieties of pepper under EU Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/1191.
The new import and movement requirements came into force on 15 August and apply to the UK. There have been cases reported in the UK. Following the end of the transition period these same requirements will be transposed into UK legislation.
