Manual fallback procedure in place for import clearance

Manual fallback procedure in place for import clearance

23 Aug 2021

11:50 UPDATE - Clearances are now clearing electronically

There are currently issues with ALVS sending release decisions to CHIEF.

As such, as of 19:30 hrs 22/08/2021 we have been in manual fallback procedure.:

Requests for manual clearance should now be directed to NCH as per below:

  • NCH has been authorised to manually clear all live animals requiring CHED.
  • PEACH/ eDomero remain unaffected, therefore NCH have been authorised to clear all PHSI/HMI regulated goods on presentation of Conformity Certificates, Phytosanitary Certificates and QRC’s.
  • NCH has been authorised to clear all consignments of products requiring CHED.
  • ALVS users should use the request for manual release form found on GOV.UK and submit a fully completed CHED with the request to NCH.

APHA apologises for any inconvenience caused. As soon as electronic clearances have resumed and are stable APHA will update.
