After the EU transition period ends, the EU will impose new controls on goods arriving from Great Britain potentially causing disruption to heavy commercial vehicles traffic moving through the Port of Dover, Eurotunnel and the Short Straits Channel crossing.
The Short Straits is a vital route for UK imports and exports of fresh produce, including fresh fruit, vegetables, cut flowers and plants.
The UK Government has consulted on proposed legislative amendments on enforcing Operation Brock which is used to alleviate traffic disruption in Kent.
