Survey 1: BORDER SAFETY & SECURITY – GIVE YOUR VIEW

A first principles review is being conducted on the UK’s global regime for Safety & Security (S&S) requirements led by the Cabinet Office, HMRC, the Home Office and HM Treasury.

The outcomes of this review will help inform a new Target Operating Model (TOM) that will come into effect at the end of 2023.

A new regime needs to meet the UK’s requirements to control our borders, and meet our international obligations, whilst placing the lowest possible burden on trade

A survey has been developed to capture views about the current regime and establish design

Survey 2: BORDER DIGITAL DOCUMENTATION – GIVE YOUR VIEW

The 2025 Border Strategy sets out the ambition to make border documentation digital by default to reduce complexity for traders and the border industry. The new Target Operating Model will set out the transformative programme to digitise our border, harnessing new technologies and data to reduce friction and costs for businesses and consumers.

This survey aims to understand how the experience of the border can be improved through digitisation of government or trade documentation and processes.
