Replacement of Government Gateway service and PEACH access

7 January 2019

APHA is expecting to move to full manual fallback between 1700hrs on Friday 11 January and approximately 0900hrs on Monday 14 January while the existing Government Gateway service is replaced, which will mean no PEACH access.

NCH will be authorised to clear APHA (Plant Health)- and HMI-regulated imports on production of valid QRCs and/or Certificates of Conformity. If urgent airfreight imports require clearance during the downtime please get in touch with the appropriate Helpdesk.

Due to changes in the TARIC codes for guava, mango, blueberry and cranberry which went live on 1 January 2019, PEACH applications for these commodities will not currently clear via ALVS. An urgent request has been raised to have the mappings amended, and hope these will be updated as soon as possible. In the meantime, the APHA and PEACH Helpdesks will authorise manual clearance by the NCH on completion of inspection and documentary checks.
