Working with the fresh produce sector

16 July 2018

Environmental Health Training & Consultancy (EHT&C) was set up just over a year ago to help and support businesses and is going from strength to strength.

South Holland District Council (in South Lincolnshire) and Breckland Council (mid- Norfolk) joined forces to offer businesses environmental health consultancy services and a range of food, health and safety and licensing training courses.

South Holland District Council have already formed a number of Primary Authority Partnerships and one recently with the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC), being an excellent match with their staff having skills and experience of the fresh produce sector and good rapport with the FPC team.

Over this time, their range of services have expanded to offer a one stop shop for all, to now include: food and health & safety management consultancy, internal and third party auditing, advice and assessments of contaminated foods, stowaway entry in to consignments, due diligence challenge as well as nationally accredited Level 3 Inspection and Audit training, in addition to their original offering of Health and Safety Training and Food Hygiene.

What makes EHT&C stand out is they can offer services and training on site, class room training at a broad range of locations, full consultancy and on-line training. Something to suit all employers and individuals busy work life.

Craig Fowler, EHT&C commercial manager commented: “We employ staff who have decades of ‘hands on’ experience having worked with the industry, so they really do understand and know what they are talking about. We are keen to help, advise and support businesses on a variety of essential regulations they need to adhere to. We are already working with a number of large and medium sized organisations and we only use professionally qualified people to undertake the work.

As EHT&C is wholly owned and operated by two local authorities and is a ‘not for profit’ organisation, it has a trusted reputation.”
