NFT announces new CEO

11 September 2017

NFT Distribution, a UK market leader in chilled food logistics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ross Eggleton as Chief Executive of NFT with effect from 1 January 2018.

Ross Eggleton, who joined NFT earlier this year from WM Morrison Supermarkets, will move from his current role as COO to become Deputy Chief Executive with immediate effect. This will facilitate the current CEO, David Frankish, to become Vice-Chairman of NFT with responsibility for strategic customer development and M&A opportunities. David will also become a Senior Advisor to EmergeVest Limited, NFT’s private equity owner.

Heath Zarin, Chairman of NFT and Managing Director of EmergeVest, commented: “We would like to thank David for all he has contributed to NFT's success and we are pleased to welcome him as a Senior Advisor to EmergeVest.  We are highly confident in Ross and his ability to lead NFT through its next phase of strategic development.”

“The senior management team has already been strengthened during 2017, and is unrivalled in its capabilities within the market. In partnership with the Group’s banking partners, Investec, EmergeVest has already committed significant capital to finance NFT’s growth plans which include further acquisition opportunities and expansion of current business activities across Europe and Asia”.

David Frankish has worked with NFT for over 30 years. Under David’s leadership, the NFT business has grown from an annual turnover of £52m in 1995 to £220m, and is now integral to the supply chain for a number of UK and international grocery retailers and manufacturers.

Ross Eggleton previously worked for WM Morrison Supermarkets Plc for 9 years. He held a number of roles prior to becoming Logistics & Supply Chain Director. He has significant expertise in the food retail and logistics arena and before working with Morrisons, his roles included senior positions in both retailer (Asda) and 3PL (Lloyd Fraser Group) environments.
