Scheduled downtime affecting import clearances

23 May 2017

APHA and PEACH teams have been advised by their IT provider that the ALVS system is expected to be unavailable between 0800-1300hrs on Saturday 27 May 2017.

PEACH will be unaffected, but due to the length of the downtime manual fallback procedures are expected to be invoked, and NCH will be authorised to clear APHA- and HMI-regulated imports on production of a valid QRC and/or Certificate of Conformity.

Network performance will be checked after 1300hrs on Saturday 27 May and reversion to electronic clearances via ALVS will be resumed once we are satisfied that all systems are operating as they should. As usual, importers and their agents are advised to submit PEACH applications either side of the downtime wherever possible.
