Scheduled downtime affecting import clearances

31 August 2017

As previously advised there will be disruption over a number of weekends in September and October in particular, as all Defra-hosted applications are moved from the current datacentre in London to one in Farnborough prior to exiting the London centre in early 2018.

The next planned downtime will be from approximately 1900hrs on Friday 1 September to 0800hrs on Monday 4 September. It is anticipated that ALVS will be unavailable and we have also been advised that external access to PEACH via the Government Gateway will also be impacted. Manual fallback procedures will be invoked, and NCH has been authorised to manually clear APHA- and HMI-regulated imports on production of valid QRCs and/or Certificates of Conformity.

If importers or their agents have urgent airfreight imports to clear over the weekend can they please contact the appropriate Helpdesk to discuss further.
