Potential candidates for increased import controls

The Food Standards Agency has developed an early warning system based primarily on analysis of the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) information issued by EU Member States for imports of food and feed not of animal origin. The FSA is introducing a new section, highlighting potential new signals of emerging risks based on non RASFF sources. This is initially limited to just three signal which were identified as being of particular interest in November 2016.
